I'm replying to myself so that peole know how I fixed my Silent Hunter II problem. I uninstalled Service Pack 2. Then I did a system restore. Finally I re-installed SH II (& the 1.1 patch) Silent Hunter (as well as Destroyer Command & Fighting Steel) are now running beautifully. The added bonus being that in trying to find a soulutuion to the problem I discovered some really good SH II add ons at SUBSIM Review.
